Last week saw the prestigious Northern Marketing Awards taking place where we were delighted to win, ‘Tourism & Leisure Campaign of the Year’ for our Mersey Ferries 2013 summer campaign, ‘A Ferry British Summer’.
The campaign celebrated all things British; focusing on the opening of the Time Travellers exhibition at Spaceport, featuring British classic replica Doctor Who characters, as well as marking the Royal birth by flying a blue Union flag on the ferry. Mersey Ferries encouraged families to enjoy a ‘Ferry British’ day out; whatever the British weather.
The Northern Marketing awards celebrate the excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry in the North and as a North-West agency; it was a double-win to be able to accept the award on behalf of an iconic North-West attraction fighting off stiff competition from the likes of Jet 2, Northumberland Tourism and First Great Western. Congratulations to all the winners, it was an honour to be amongst the outstanding caliber of talent in the North!
